I woke this morning bright eyed and full of hope, drove 17 miles to the only store in this area that sells anything near overclocking accesories. Hoping to buy a volcano7+, crystal orb, ramsinks and some thermal compound which i had checked on the website and yay ! all items were in stock.
Having entered the store i was eagerly looking for my parts, as it turns out they had no volcano and no ramsinks
Determined that today was going to be an excellent day for overclocking, despite the burning sun and the lack of products i needed i looked around and ended up with the following products...
Golden orb,
Blue orb,
Crystal orb,
Thermal compound,
Twin front mounting temp gauge.
Coming to a total of £48.45
The Gorb, fits coppermine p3's hehe.............................................. i have a bloody xp
Still i mishioned on, attaching the Corb to the gpu of my mx440 has allowed me to go from 270 to 325 stable to 335 suicide.
I had some old ramsinks i made and decided to attach them rather shabily and didnt expect to see any great improvement hence i went from 500mhz to 510 stable.
The Blorb i have attached to my main rig mobo and am yet to test.
All my components are on my old biostar board because it has on board sound and im saving for a audigy for my newer board.
In conclusion..........
Today is not a good day for overclocking !!!
P.S. anyone know how i can mod a Gorb to fit socket A ???
