super orb and connections

super orb has 2 plugs. It came with a adapter to connect one of them into the power supply (i guess). Why ?
It came with thermal grease and i have never, well im used to just plugging in a slot1 p3. So i need instructions.

Most motherboards have only 3 fan headers...one of which is for the CPU. To run the other fan you need to use the 4 pin plug.

Apply the thermal compound to the CPU core only (a very thin layer) before you install the heat sink.
