First let me just warn anyone who thinks of modding the IBM scoll mouse it is definitely NOT for the light hearted. The mouse is essentially impossible to get the cover off without breaking and I never did get it back on properly because the rt mouse button wouldn't line up despite all my attempts to get it to work. I ended up shaving the button. I installed 4 LED's that look really sweet but it was extremely difficult to steal power from the 5v line because the solder points are so F-ing small. I had to use the other side where the wires came into the plastic and squeeze 4 strands of wire into there to solder. I decided that when the cover didn't come off easily that I wouldn't be a good person.
Soon as I get my digital camera batteries charged I'll post pics. My personal suggestion is to buy the IBM mouse, break it open, steal the clear wheel, install it into another mouse and mod the other mouse cause the IBM was NOT meant to be taken apart. OYE.
