well newegg finally got them in this morning, in "limited quantities" the guy said.

i wonder if its possible or CHEAPER ;) to buy your own micro ATX board and case and powersupply and put it all together? what'dya think guys?

Its a pretty good deal, but as for LAN parties....not exactly. With a decent performing video card in there and a processor that will support all the current games it will get mighty hot. I didnt look real closely at what fans it comes with...but most cases of that size just include a few 10cfm(at most) 40mm fans. That not going to cool a gaming rig in the least. I do plan on getting one of those system to run my car stereo...but it going to be a underclocked processor and Im going to stick with the onboard video.

Ignore my previous comments about cooling, after looking at it more closely it does have somewhat adequate cooling. And you could probably fit a fan up on the top for a bit more cooling.

it can handle a geforce4 ti 4600 and a P4 just fine with the stock cooling.

If it can handle that....then it gets a big thumbs up. I may pick up that one as opposed to the other barebones system I was looking at for my car. The front panel would match my car better too...kinda :)

why not buid your own? i bet some scrap aluminum, and a dremel would make a very nice one. custom cases have always intrigued me.

The reason that I wouldnt make a custom case is 1. time...im way too busy to do that 2. I would slice all 10 of my fingers open at least once if not twice 3. it would probably take me 30+ hours to make that case....which if I just worked instead would give me enough money to have a full computer including components.
