can you give me a link to the silver plan? what is it? I have heard of comcast pro, but not silver.
Well I don't really know if it is called Silver or not,I have heard some refer to it as silver, but it is just the basic plan for Comcast.
1500 down 128 up,and the Pro is 3500 down 384 up,but I get about 2900 down and 360 up.

oh ok, i think $95 is a little bit too much for me. I wish they would raise the upload to 256............
Well the upload for Pro is 384 and I get pretty close to that, but like you say for $95 a bit much.

Are you planning on running servers? If not, I would think that even the standard plan would be more than enough. Especially for half the price. That's what I've got, 1800k down, 128k up (they raised the download due to complaints about the speed). I play online games and have no problems with pings except when comcast craps on me (which, unfortunately, is often).
Edit: Sweet! I just noticed, I'm up to 4 stars now!

If you dont need the extra upload speed, I would switch to the basic plan. The extra download speed is rarely if ever going to be helpful(that is about twice as fast as a t1...and the only time you would ever see your downloads go that high would be if you are pulling from an OC or a t3. I say...save the $50 a month if you dont upload that much.

I looked into this plan because I used to run a webserver off my PC, and found it rediculous. I would never buy this plan because it's just not worth it. I as well get about 2000 down which is fine and get 208 up which is acceptable. The upgrade just isn't worth it.

yeah just keep the basic package....you don't need that upload speed unless you are hosting games then it would come in handy...
Or if you can switch to another service that dosen't have such low caps...like Optimum Online which is capped at 3.5/1.0...sweeeeet
