whats your system so we can try to help you solve your problem

some suggestions may be to have the newest catalyst driver or the omega 1.1.07 tweaked catalyst driver, new board bios

try to disable fast writes and enable it to see which is better in board bios if you have it , enable 4x agp

if your board has a performance setting enable it try testing and if it is worse then set board to default

gwt rid of any previous video drivers and last resort format

these are only some suggestions, things that have worked for me more help wil be sure to come

Just thought of something.

If you haven't done anything but use the same old drivers, you could try reloading them. Sometimes drivers get "tired" or something and overtime performance decreases. Dunno why, it just works.

On the otherhand, you could always check for spyware..see if something is sapping away your resources.

Even though I have a ti4600, I will be the first to tell you the Radeon 8500 is an excellent card and the best bang for the buck.

My last card was an OEM 8500 that did 300/300 right out of the box and was a superb card.
