Hey Skip, first I would like to thank you for the forums, you do us all a great service, if I wasn't getting married on Friday, then I would have some extra cash to contribute, I will soon if I can.
Anyway I was wondering since this is a vbulletin board, would it be hard to change the forum colors like once a month or something? I know that would be a lot of extra work for you for no reason. And I like the black on dark grey. But I was wondering if we could have the overclocking colors one month or something.
Would this be too much trouble or too hard to do? If so, then no worries, just thought it might be cool.:D :burn:
this is not too hard to do or so i hear. there can be an option for different stylesets which you can choose whichever one you like in your control panel>options and once you select that you will always surf the board with those colors as long as that option is available.
i personally love the color scheme here cause i like dark colors and light text. makes it alot easier on the eyes.
but i can see how having a different color scheme or two would be nice for other members.
right now however i think we need to focus on the isp problem and getting the forums rearranged like is discussed in the other active thread in this forum.

Though it would be cool to see some variety around here, Maxvla's right, we have more pressing concerns. Maybe when things are quieter we can take a look at things like this.

I would like to see different color as well. Personally, I don't like the black background.
:burn:
vBulletin does allow for various stylesets, but someone with admin powers (skip, shadow or newbie_doo) would need to create or install these different styles. This could be quite a lot of work.
Personally I like the dark background, but I understand that not everyone will share my opinions.

I do like the dark background, but I would prefer to see a change. I agree with this :) ... or maybe you could have an option that asks you what style you want to see and stores a cookie on your HD to work accordingly... cs-skins.net used to have it, but removed it for some odd reason. That may be a little work, but it wouldn't be a bad thing to see.

I love the dark background also, and I know that there are other matters that need to be attended to first. I just thought a change you know for certain months or whatnot would be cool.
Like in March a dark green on a little lighter for St. Patricks day. Or Feb, well lets skip Feb. or in December a dark red and dark green. You know a little variety every now and then.
If other things get in the way of it ever happening, then thats fine, I have no problem with how it looks now, just a simple thought.

i like the colors here because its easy to read and such things, but one interesting twist could be use the inverse of the colors. so white background, light grey behind avatars and stuff, dark grey behind post text and white text. just a thought... white text on dark grey is very easy on the eyes (at least for me)
personally i'd like to see black background in the text body of posts with light grey fonts. that would be alot easier to read.
