Hello all,
What's a good dual monitor card that will work in PCI slot? and another question is this, the computer is Dell, has no PCI slots or AGP, had to use an extension board so it would have PCI and ISA slots. The thing is, will a PCI graphic card works in that? thanks,

for my second monitor I use a GeForce 2 MX200 PCI version I picked up at super wal-mart. It should work in your dell, but it will run slow b/c those are probably the slower pci slots. Mine secondary card will run max payne @ 1024x768 perfectly, but when I put it in our old compaq, It runs diablo II at only 28 fps.
This card would definately work, but you could probably get a cheaper card that would work the same b/c of the limits of the pci slot in that computer.
My pci slot is a 64 bit slot, and that is most likely a 32 bit slot.

Matrox G200 dualhead.
Not sure if the G400 came in PCI, but it might have and you can look for that.
There are hardly any new PCI videocards because they maxed out the PCI bus a long time ago.

thanks, will look in to it. What about it being an extension board, not on the mainboard itself but extended.?

not really familiar with those... but as long as its a working pci slot, you should be just fine.
You can run other pci cards in there right (network card, sound card, etc.)

Yikes! You have a really, really old board.
Shouldn't matter whether it's on the extended or not. Actually I think the only PCI/ISA slots are on the extended board.
