Hi,

I look for a good stepping to overclock.

The one I could get is AGOIA 0220MPM.

Which ones do you recommend for high clocks?

I know my agoia k 0212 is pretty good and so are the agoia y 0210 and 0213. not sure about the one you can get.

the newer the week the better since yours is week 20 it should be pretty darn good

okay, so the last two stand for the week, but for what do the first two numbers stand for? And why doesn't mine has a letter like Y?

02=2002 20=week 20

the Y or 9 or 4 or K or Z is the first letter/number on the next line down

Okay,

Important ist the date - the newer the better to overclock, right?

Would you say that there's something like 1.700-1.800 MHz possible, with decent aircooling and the stepping I mentioned above, maybe a younger date?

Or should I wait for the 1.5V TBreds (1800+), because they could be better to overclock?

The 1600+ palo costs about 73€ here and is the cheapest XP to get. The 1800+ costs about 95€. Guess there will nothing change with the TBred.

Getting a specific week is real hard... Although the later weeks always overclock better, but we haven't seen much of that as the core is hitting its limits.

Yes, but what do you think about the 1.5V TBreds?

useless unless you have Pelt cooling or phase change. the things have such a small core size that it makes it much harder to cool and the things are VERY hot. you will get no higher a overclock than you will a pally unless you have either of the mentioned cooling methods.

Thought something similar - but with 1.5V there's only about 50watts for a 1800+, which is the same than Atholn TB 900 ...

But I ordered the AGOIA 0220 and we'll see ...

Which unlocking procedure do you recommend? The rubber oder the silver method?

I'm a litte afraid of my data @high fsb, because of the 1/4 PCI diver ..... and no damn 1/5 :(

unlocking a xp, if you get a brown one. is very simple. you need a rear window defogger repair kit (can be purchased at autozone) or a conductive pen of any kind. you also need a wax crayon.

mask off the L3 bridges to be safe
draw over the pits with the crayon
erase the crayon on the dots with any type of eraser
now the pits are filled
connect the dots with the conductive material

if you get a green one you need to find a way to get off the protective material on the dots. either with a pin or with some sandpaper

I thought I have to draw the L1 bridges instead of L3 for unlocking a palomino ....

Wasn't it one of the L3 (left) to unlock a TBRED?

I'm confused ....

Yes you need to paint the L1 , but its safer to protect the L3 before because they are close , so its easy to make mistakes.
