can i put a P2 450 with a P3 450, the cash is the same, the speed is the same, the fsb is the same, i don't know about the Vcor, both slot1?

From what i understand, windows NT only want the MHz to be the same for SMP.

I doubt those chips use the same socket design but thats an uneducated guess

if you run two instances of counter strike and make sure each one is running on a different cpu then you could, but you would take a proformance hit still, b/c you will still be running both of one vid card which will have to be good. Of course this is if you run a dedicated server through the game. I think if you setup and run a dedicated server though HLDS.exe then I think you should be ok, and take little or no proformance hit if you have enough ram.

I really really really doubt you could put a PII and PIII in a SMP setup. I've never seen a mobo that could take a pIII and/or PII let alone run then at the same time.

Both are the same slot, speed, fsb and Vcore. I guess they are 512K cache chips right? They certainly meet the simple electrical demands for working in a dual setup. Maybe it will work, maybe not. I´d say not, since the cpu´s use different sets of instructions. If it actually does work, it will be the same as using dual p2 450. If you have all the makings I suggest you go ahead and try.
