Well, WinXp has some issues. I installed my new mobo the K7S5A, and my new 1600+ AGOIA chip, all the settings in bios were configed correctly. Then it boots to windows, and I get some error msg stating that either my hd is corrupt, which was not the case, even did scandisk, hd is fine - or windows couldnt' load new devices. Im pretty sure it was having trouble/conflicts loading the new mobo because is uses a SIS set, whereas my old mobo used a VIA chipset. So I installed xp again over the old copy (bad mistake) now it boots to windows fine, except i have no desktop lol. And all my links/settings were reset. Although all my programs arent showin up in start menu, they are on the hd and can be run. Is there an easy way to recover this, or is it better i just save all the info I can , and format the hd, and install from scratch. Also I did a quick test with my 3dmark2001. When i had the fsb at 133 and memory at 133 windows runs fine, but locks in 3dmark. The ram is Kingston pc100, and i have (2)x 128mb for a total of 256 ram. Am i pretty much stuck at the 100 fsb, or is there a setting in the bios for ram that can enable to run it at higher fsb's without lockup's under graphic intense programs? I know this is alot to take in.. but any help would be greatly appreciated thx..

Best bet is going to be to back-up and start from scratch. Also, it might be time to upgrade to PC133 or DDR to take advantage of the 133 FSB.
