Has anyone ever tried automobile antifreeze as a cooling medium in their water block cooling system? Does it have better or worse heat transfer properties than water??

Under the conditions that it is going to be operating under, worse
Antifreeze is what it is, it prevents freezing. Use Redline Water-Wetter and distilled water instead, 2 fl. oz/gallon. Better than water itself. Can get it an automotive store.
You can use a small portion of antifreeze for its anticorrosive properties, but it really adds nothing as a coolant.
