Are there any waterblocks out there that use retention clips instead of screws to mount. I have Asus A7M266-D and the screw holes are not drilled out. I am very skeptical about drilling them myself and would rather find an alternative solution. This rig gets super hot with two CPUs so h20 is the way to go.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

If you make one yourself here is mine I made it out of 1/4 stock and 3/8 inch copper tubing the clip used is the same one that was on my retail amd heatsink the clip on my 1700 was a bit differant than the one I got with a 1600 the 1700 is a straight piece of metal and it has a half circle wing on either side that is bent at 90 deg and off center a bit but all I had to do was to bend the wings out to compensate for the added thickness of my block the clip is also channeled to give it more strength so I did't want to bend it that way It actually was the easiest part. Ps i made made a bunch of these blocks

The picture is very dark, its tough to tell what it looks like. How thick is the block? Do you have a channel down the middle for the retaining clip?

Would you be willing to part with a couple?

The Swiftech (http://www.swiftnets.com/) MCW372 has been revised since the OC.com article. It now uses all six lugs on the ZIF socket. IMHO, hands down winner.
