My 3dmark score is 10433 right now.
Can anyone please help me to push my new cpu and mobo o/c little higher?
BTW,what vcore on your agp guys? I cant even set my visiontek ti 4600 pass 310/700. is it normal?

That's when i use the 81GX and othe gigabyte mainboards. However my problem was if you shut down the system, it re-boots by itself. First what is the batch of your P4? Are you able to trade the Gigabyte for Asus,Abit ?

I just bought this mobo from newegg, so, i dont think it's possible to trade back in.
The patch of my cpu is 3205a880 from Costa Rica

AZN was running a now dead 1.8a at 2.4 with his ti4200 at 322/555 and was able to get 12028. don't see why you shouldn't be able to break his score since you have a better card and the same chip.

sure can. you can RMA it to newegg with no problems. however you will hafta pay a restocking fee of i believe its 15%

For your batch, most probably you need a better cooler like the Alpha PAL8942, 1.75V that is on P4B533 and there you have it 1.8A@2.4Ghz. If you are unable to find alpha, any other brands that can bring down the heat is recommended. What is your temp on full load or when playing games?

i guess i have a very good h/s on this cpu now. the temp is about 47 c at full load level.
the pack date is 06/26/02
also, I am so curious about why i couldnt hit higher clock on my ti4600 card.

The reason why your score are around 10,000 3Dmarks is because your FSB is only 100Mhz-125Mhz, if you able to bring FSB to 133-150Mhz and overclocker your G4TI-4600 to higher Core/Memory your 3D Marks should be around 14,000 and above. Try changing your board and get a July Pack date CPU. I forgot the most important thing which you could not hit higher is your memory bandwith which is low. Use SisSoft Sandra to check your scores?

Finally, I o/ced my 1.8a to 2.4 @fbs133 , 1.7v x3.
Than kyou for your helps.
But I still can't understand why i couldnt o/c my vcard visiontek ti4600 higher. Currently running @ 315/700.

315/700 is high enough already. Easy on the OC because the G4TI4600 costs twice more expensive than your CPU. You do not want to fried it do you? What is your 3Dmark now?

Maybe this could help:

1. Update to the latest BIOS
2. Do "paint trick" or "wire trick" to make the default 1.7v. Make sure the BIOS CPU voltage setting is "default". If the comp. stops, you can clear the BIOS through BIOS jumper. This is to eliminate "cold boot" problems.
3. Increase the DRAM voltage to 2.6V and the DRAM:CPU = 1:1, the memory latency 333, and later you can switch back to 222.
4. Use a good quality thermal paste. Paste it both sides: the CPU and the HSF. You could paste the chipset too.
5. Optional: Add several small heatsinks to voltage generator IC.
6. Optional: Buy new Power Supply with 400watts power or more. A generic PSU often cause a headache in overclocking.

If you want to use higher voltage than 1.7v, please use better heatsink first, such as Cooler Master IHC-H71 Everest. Maximum voltage is 1.75v and don't go beyond. Actually 1.7v is already high enough in my opinion.

If still doesn't work, then sorry to say: the proc. of yours is already at its maximum limits. There is too much effort and time spent to increase it after then. It's not worth it.
