i am using an amd k6-2 at 400 mhz i overclocked it to 450 and i can not get more speed i know how to overclock at 500 but i receive a black screen at the beginnig

No personal knowlege here but I've read that the K2 is not the best chip to OC. Maybe it won't do 500?

I recall that the K6-2 already were overclocked by AMD at that time to compete with Intel. This makes the chip wery unwilling to go higher. What´s the temp?

Consider yourself lucky to get 450 MHz, the K6-2 are not good overclockers. My only suggestion would be a peltier, H2O cooling and a huge amount to voltage into the chip - then you Might get 500 MHz. I had a K6-2 400 that would not run at 450 no matter what I would do with air cooling.
