As i complained before, im back on 56k from dsl and it plainly sucks. Back to the topic... I cant send results if im not connected to the internet, what i mean is, it wont auto dial to send results, i have to connect manually. It works with IE6, i just launch it and my dial up connection will auto dial but F@H wont. Is there a way i can configure F@H to open my connection to get send/get work? I did all the things mentioned in the FAQ at the F@H team site but it still doesnt work. *sigh* i hate dial up!!!

honestly i don't know of any other setting's than the ones in the FAQ. i have seen some though you just can't get the client to trigger the dialing process. i haven't been on dial up recently so maybe someone who is autodialing could verify this for me.
--edit: i will see if i can dig up any info on XP for you..

Thanks NAS that would be great. I'm still looking on the web if i couldnt find something to remedy this problem.
Does it ask your permission to connect?
Does your client.cfg have the asknet=no entry?

I've been looking into this for a while and haven't come up with anything that'll work. It seems that Win2K requires that specific IP addresses need to be entered into the registry in order for it to dial up from a command prompt but I haven't had any luck when I tried that either. If you happen to find a solution, please post because there are several people looking...

I was going to post here yesterday because I used to have this working perfectly. But then I remembered that I was using dial-up, but the modem was connected to my SMC router. The router dialed the modem whenever a connection was needed.
It is happening to me!!!
Since I installed the on board NIC (2 days) the fah client is not automatically dialing. I suspect it is trying to connect via network instead of dial-up.
The internet option "always dial the default connection" is checked.

The problem with it is that we can lose many hours of folding until we get to the computer.

FaH is dialing again. Don't know why. But now instead of dialing the default connection it is dialing another one
I will try the new 3.14.
