volume on divx

I notice alot of divxs have really low volume...

so I havta turn the volume on speakers way up, which is annoying when other sounds occur and ear blistering volumes...
or speakers hiss....

is there any way to pre amp the volume or something so that I don't hafta turn speakers all teh way up?

What version do you have?

There is a volume button next to the play buttons. I am sure you know that though. :)

I notice this a lot of times also. The person who originally made the DivX encoded the audio too low. I had a similar problem with DVD's..when i changed the output to S/PDIF instead of WAV, that brought the volume way up. I don't know if this would help with DivXs. You also might try another player like WMP or the ATI file player. Hope this helps.
