In BIOS I have all the multipliers 6.5-14x but I did not unlock my chip. When I try to change the multiplier it POST's and boots into windows ok but it doesn't really change anything, for example whether i set it to 12x or 7x it doesn't matter tsill boots at 13x which is stock. I'm just wondering why can I change my multiplier in bios. I know if I unlock then it will actually change the multiplier not leave it locked at 13x but is like this on all Asus A7V333's? I have the BIOS revision 1011. It did the same thing on my old 1004 bios as well...

you need to unlock your cpu phycically to get that option to work. if you havnt then thats why nothins changing. if you have then you did it wrong and retry.

*puts in CD*
*turns up volume*
*listens to Run DMC - That's just the way it is*

The options are available for use on CPUs which are unlocked, as was said b4 its just the way it is, I'm not sure if the motherboard itself can detect if the CPU is locked or not, but if it can't, it's just enabled for any case, like if u use MP, which comes factory unlocked. Many intel boards have Multi selection but the CPUs are locked, and this feature can only be used on ES which are very rare
