its the fifth L3, the one on the right if you hold the chip so that the L3s and L1s are on the top of the chip.

yeah that picture is right, i was saying the one on the right if the chip is the other way around.

with your chip unlocked you will only be able to use the multipliers from 6.5 to 12.5 so you will have to raise your fsb to be as fast as you are now (or faster) since you are using the 13.5 multiplier now.

the advantage of unlocking the chip is that you will be able to set your fsb higher then you can at the default multiplier. setting the fsb higher will not only increase the speed of the cpu but it will also increase the speed of the RAM, the pci bus (PCI cards and hard drives) and the agp bus (vid card). so your whole system will be overclocked and perform faster then it did at the default fsb.

with an xp2200 you are running at 1800mhz (13.5*133) so when you unlock your chip the highest multiplier available will be 12.5 and 12.5*133 is only 1662mhz. you will have to set your FSB to 144 just to run at 1800mhz again but at 144 fsb your memory bandwidth and pci/agp buses will be better so your system will be faster at 144*12.5 then it was at default.

I just unloscked it bios reads cpu as XP1900 not XP2200
I set the multiple to 12.5 and the fsb is at 150/45 this gives me a reading of 1800 using MBM5 temp is 56cwith case off if I put case on it will go down a little bit to about 54c
