I just recently bought an AMD Athlon XP 1800+ 1.53 Ghz processor with an ECS K7S5A motherboard, and i thought i had it running at 1.53. However, when i ran PCMark2002 it reports it as 1.12... How can i make sure i'm running at full potential?

sounds like you are running at 100fsb instead of 133fsb (11.5x133=1530, 11.5x100=1150). there should be a jumper on your motherboard to change it from 100 to 133, most boards ship with it set to 100 by default. check your manual or the motherboards website, if you need more help post back and let us know what motherboard you have.

BTW WCPUID (http://hp.vector.co.jp/authors/VA002374/src/download.html) is a good program that will tell you what speed your cpu is as well as your fsb and multiplier...also has a few other handy little features.

I have it set in my bios to 133/133, but i'll need to set the jumper settings as well?

I'll try that program and see what it says...

The ks75a does not have any jumpers on the mobo for the fsb.
It's all done in the bios.
What bios are you using? Do you have the fsb at 133/133?

3DMark and PCMark do not report system specs very accurately when it comes to ecs mobos, especially the k7s5a.
Use Sandra or wcpuid to confirm your cpu speed and the fsb.

Can i get a demo version of either of those programs just to see if it is in fact that PCMark is reporting the speed wrong?

Sandra Standard and WCPUID are freeware.
Here's the link for WCPUID:http://cgi2.tky.3web.ne.jp/~nrklv/cgi-bin/softdl.cgi?wcpu30g.exe
