This heatsink fits the kt7a right? How would it do keeping a 1ghz T-bird cool and how would it do when i overclock the cpu?

It's spec's are similar to the Super Orb so it should be good for moderate overclocking.

if your concern is with the HSF fitting your motherboard, you can't go wrong with a globalwin FOP 32 or 38. they both fit nicely, another alternative may be the Taisol CKG (something-or-another) with the stock fan replaced with a good YS Tech, Sunon or Delta unit. I have seen both fit on the KT7-KT7A series boards with no problems. In my opinion, Thermaltake products are overpriced for their performance, anyway. They're good for MAYBE a 100 Mhz overclock on a 600-700 MHz processor but not much more than that. One final word: nothing beats Alpha so if you got the $$$, go for a Pep 66 or a PAL6035.
