Do you have an AthlonXP/MP running in excess of 2GHz and want to tell us about how you went about doing it, drop off some info here;
Motherboard;
CPU & Batch(stepping);
voltage / cooling temps;
cooling;
PSU used;
is it 100% stable?;
Just thought to give this thread a shot since I noticed quite a few people on this forum have surpassed 2000MHz on the Athlon architecture.

most of this information is availabe at the CPU database ont the front page.

well, ferg, as you might not know, there's a lot of bull**** posted in the cpu database. ^_^
i think i saw a duron 1.2 @ 1.9 once. i could be wrong. this is obviously not attainable.

Yea I think this thread is a good idea. I only have my 1800+ at 1700, but Im seeing if I can get to 2ghz. Heh.

You also might want to request that they post a screenshot of WCPUID and SANDRA.
That would show that it's at least stable enough to get into windows and run somes programs.
The only person I've seen posted at 2gigs are justshoot and oc jason.
I'm 600mhz away from there :p I'm running my AGOIA at stock hah what a disapointment.

I had a 2100 Tbred at 2004MHz but then I accidentally killed it. My 2200 comes in tomorrow and I'll clock it to 2GHz. I'll get a Sandra screenshot of the OC'ed 2200 when I get it installed and running. The 2100 reached 2GHz using the following:
Epox 8K3A+ (2312)
CPU stepping was AIRGA from week 23 of 2002. Third line began with a 9. I ran it at 167x12 at 1.9vcore. I am also watercooled. Ondie temps were 44C idle, 50C load. My PSU is a silent TTGI-520w beast. The system was stable and could run anything without worry. F@H for 11 hours to test stability...passed!

2 gig is a lot, especially when i run air...lol. see sig, i got a stable 1901, on a locked 1600 @ 1.8 volts....
it's as far as i have gone stable, i can boot @ 1932, but it locks in a few minutes..........maybe 2 gig is attainable with water.....:burn:

well ill try any way!:D :D

Yes, I have acheived the all mighty 2 gig on both a xp1600 and a xp2000. My system specs are:
8k3a+ with 5 volt mosfet mod using only the grabber (something similiar to what the doctor used on his vcore mods and memory mods but alittle bigger) And 80 MM fan over northbridge and memory, NB was removed and ASIII and superglue was applied.
xp 1600 at the moment + xp 2000 both agoia "y" stepping if you want more info I can get it like week code and so on. (unlocked)
400 watt antec psu with adjustable five volt rail and 12 volt rail ( I adjusted these the higher the OC, I can't just go back to stock speeds I have to slowly bring the OC back down and readjusted both rails).
Memory is a stick of 256 kingmax PC2700 memory with a heat spreader that SSS was selling in the classifieds.
Cooling is a old maze 1 ( I think not sure bought it in the classifieds here in the forums) water block with 1/2 hose barbs that I added they originally when I recieved only had 3/8. The radiator is the cheapest heater core I could find at Autozone (Part Number 399142 dimensions are 7 3/8 x 6 1/4 x 1 1/4 with 5/8 inlet and outlet. With two, one blowing and one sucking, 6" 300 cfm AC fans. PUMP Via Aqua 1300 (A big thanks goes out to SPEEDJ for showing me this lovely little GEM) The big fans also act as major harddrive cooler and they work quite well.
Harddrive IBM 60GXP 40 gig 7200 rpm ATA 100 that was just replaced by IBM. 52X SONy cd rom, EL cheapo floppy drive.
Video card is a ATI radeon 7200 with 64 MB that has been run to he%% and back that I bought from skip about 9 months ago that I'm sure he stressed for awhile.
network card is elcheapo nc100v2 netwrok anywhere cards
Here we go vcore 2.2, mem 3 volts, FSB 182, multiplier 11, memory timings BY SPEED and set to FASTEST. ON board stuff all diabled.
OS win2k sp2 and last and not least NO CASE. LOL This is a pure seti cruncher thats it LOL

I love computers that aren't in cases :)

Well all T-Bred have gotten over 2gigs at least most of them. I still think of them as T-Bred not XP since they are 0.13 micron, and it's more common to get over 2gigs with them then actual "XP's."

They are both XPs, but many of us still think "Palomino" when we see XP somewhere, and we say TBred for the .13 micron XPs.
Habits can be hard to break ;)

Did I mention the five gallon bucket don't laugh to hard it was here in the basement when I was building the water setup. I didn't have aenough fittings to make it a closed loop yet so I just had to use the bucket. LOL

I'm gonna get my dad to weld me a THERMAL PIPE system which will be one insane water cooling rig. with a 110 gallon fishtank with a tractor irrigation pump to flow the juice around.
I wonder if my 1GIG Athlon could doo 2GIGs with 3Volts? :)

alright...how about this dilema..sorta
i can run my chip at 1901 stable all day all night all that...folding, seti, whatever..but if i turn on prime95, it wont freeze, crash or anything, but the test will fail...every time. i looped 3kmark 2001se for about 12 hours, and ran like a dream. how can i make prime95 run at these speeds...and voltage is still at 1.8...i doubt its temps...because folding will do the same temps

Is your memory one stick of 512 mb or two sticks of 256? If its one try relaxing some of your timings alittle more and see if it doesn't help. Otherwise also try a touch more mem voltage.
Are you cooling your northbridge with anything other than the original HS if not try putting a fan on it. Mine would fail misirably in prime95 prior to this and the HS was extremely hot to the touch.

Now that I have watercooling I got my XP 1600+ to 2009 mhz stable(vcore at 2.13). Here is a screenshot. It loads at 56c ondie.
Mobo:8k3a+ PSU:Antec 550 true power. the watercooling is in my sig. AGOIA Y 0213.

I'm in officially! 167x12 on an Epox 8K3a+ and 1.75 Vcore. This time I'm using a 2200 AIRGA, third line beginning with 9. Idle temp of 47C and load of 55C. I'm watercooled so the temps are rather disappointing. My PSU is a Silent TTGI 520w behemoth. Stable in 3Dmark and Folding...I'll try a game or two to make sure.
~THT
XP 2200+ water cooled at 1.85V 2.02Ghz perfectly stable.
2.05 a little flakey.
Epox 8k3a+. Rev 1.2
I want to try over 2V, but a little afraid. Upping to 1.9V doesn't help the overclock at all.

Well, I'm not there yet- but I'm close ;)
Got my agoia y from Newegg yesterday and tossed it in the watercooled rig tonight: 1927mhz, by cpuid.
Any higher right now locks it right up.
I think I'll let it sit here a couple of days and then try to bump it up a bit more.
Cpu temp: 44c, 2v vcore, 3.2 vdimm on 8KHA+. Not unlocked yet.
I think I may need to find a mod to pump some more voltage into my pc2100 ram to hit the Magic 2 Ghz- if anyone has a link to any ram votage mods for the Epox 8KHA+, HOOK ME UP!
Please :D
I did it with my xp 1800:
174x11.5 (2001mhz)
epox 8k3a
1 stick 256mb pc2100 crucial
65 pint dehumidifier cooling water/antifreeze to -20c, cpu temp -6c
voltage 2.1v
here's my 3dmark score to prove it:
http://service.madonion.com/compare?2k1=4089232
-Sidney
edit: I wish I knew how people get such high scores in 3dmark, I've seen people with lower speed processors with significantly higher scores.
