I think my chip is flawed.

I just ran the arithmatic benchie with Sandra and I got only 4450 MIPs. I thought it was normal to get 6000 with a 2.26.

Depends. What's it running at right now? Stock? If it's at stock I'd say it's about right.

Sounds about right (if it's stock speed). My Sandra says that PIV 2.4 has 4425 MIPS.

I dont know how i got it but im sure we will find out next week when i recieve a new chip


I wonder if the version of sandra i had was faulty , i dont know but i cant wait to try this again. I must have really good cooling because my chip runs at full speed .
As for mips i was getting about 4900 stock

at 2.4 about 5300mips
2.8 5700-5800mips
2.95-3 5900-6200mips
3000-3100mhz i got 6400-6970mips is the highest

Of course i cant remember exactly but thats what i think i was in the range at those speeds
I guess instead of thorttleing back it throttled foward lol
i did notice it throttle more past 3 gighertz and sometimes i would get 3400mips at 3080mhz

i thought you sold your rig... how do you keep posting benchies with no puter? maybe i misunderstood you. my bad.:o what kind of watercooling are you using? you sure have "unbelievable" benchies, but of course noobs like me aren't that great at overclocking yet. didn't you say you were leaving us? i thought someone might have said "don't let the door hit you where the good lord split you" after you threatened to walk out on us. good to have u back here, dude!:beer:

No im not a newbie at overclocking since ive been doing it for over a year , but just recently ive been buying quality parts.
But here check this out this is my system still , i posted this back in march when the xp2000+ just came out and i had it at xp2300+speeds. Check out the volt mod next to the vid card .
Anyway my p4 system was the same setup as you see in the pics but with a bd-7 II ,xms3200 winbond 2.1 400mhz ram, 2.26b
oh yeah and this cpu water block which is gold plated on the bottom and can take 200 watts of cpu heat. Now after you read this i hope you think different of me . Check out the users of this board back in march when everyone was running durons and t-birds at 1.5 gighertz

Oh i didnt sell the rig it was returned to the vendor , cpu and mobo and im getting a new one next week

1st chip was a costa rica screwed it up with the wire trick
2nd chip with the good benches was a malay did the paint trick very easy to do.
3rd chip is coming next week
I decided to go ahead and stick with intel since i just learned how to make movies on my computer and im probbly going to buy a dvd burner next.
Amd doesnt have sse2 or 512k cache on the chip +533fsb which the p4 does excell in now.
i dont keep posting pictures i saved them before i sent my cpu and mobo back.
