Hey you guys, im having more trouble. My computer starts to lockup, like the mouse would stop to move, but my music would still be playing, also if im burning a cd it will still be burning, i don't know what the problem is. Is it because my computer is too hot? or is my mouse port messed up? my motherboard? my power supply? Can someone please help. Also my CPU temp is 54 Degrees when it starts to lockup, my power supply 12V line is at 12.28 and my 5V line at 5.05. PLEASE HELP, im gettign sick and tired of having to buy this and that and getting new problems each time. I think i should of stayed with an intel instead of going with amd.

Have you tried reinstalling the OS? Also, if you don't have decent case cooling and are running the ram at 333 that could be a prob since its only pc2100, but I would think that the whole comp would lockup, not just the mouse.

Yes. I even formatted. i even returned my old 350 Enermax for a 430 W, and it was good for a day, and then started to freeze.

Have you lapped that retail heatsink? And what are you using for thermal interface material? I personally feel that the retail heatsinks are not enough to cool cpu's even at stock settings, especially during the summer.

I think you have a temp problem with that retail hsf: I do use some oem heatsinks, but I put better fans on them to get decent cooling.
So just adding a better fan could do the trick, or you could replace the heatsink as well. Either way, I think the problems will go away if you can get the temps under 50c (45c is a good goal, IMO ;) )

Ok, im going to buy a Volcano 7 and add it to my existing heatsink, (if you can do that) . I hope that will bring my cpu temps down a bit.
