is it wise to use Arctic Silver Adhesive on your processor? I know it is the best for heat transfer but it is permanent... what do you guys think

it's not a good idea.
it is very strong and almost totally unremovable.

you don't need it, because your hsf will clip to the socket.

if you use it and try to remove the hsf from the cpu, there's a good chance you will rip the top off the core.

it is possible to lessen it's bonding quality by cutting the adhesive with normal arctic silver. but then the hsf might not stick to the cpu as well.

i would only use it, if i planned on never removing the heatsink.

it is very good for sticking heatsinks on your northbridge and your vid card. (if you don't plan on removing them)

but other than that...well. i already said. :p
