This folder in my C drive called "System Volume Information" is accounting for at least 2 gigs on my hard drive, yet I cant delete it because i keep getting access denied. I deleted this folder before on another Windows install. Now I can't. I can't even see how much space it actually takes up beacause it is a protected folder or something, and says 0 bytes when I right-properties. I'm using WinXP pro. This folder appeared after I installed UT2003 and now after I uninstalled UT2003, it wont disappear.

Well, if you havenīt made a Reboot do it now.
Second: If you are to delete something in Xp, wait untill the hdd lamp gets black, it just have to be a bug in XP that is if you are to delete something it just prescan for the files that you are about to delete "big files".
You can delete anything if you want too as long as itīs not an working application or reg file that has to be deleted before deleting the folder...
MS has a great way to protect the things you have on your hardrive...
 Iīmay be wrong, but try it out...
System Volume Information contains ''important'' system restore stuff. It has all your backups. You can use the control panel to adjust how much space it is allowed to use.
