look at the psummary! there is an 8 pointer called p181_enghomeoPB0.5...it must be a gromac right? bc its deadline is only 15 days and the 6 pointer is 20! that thing must be a great bang for the buck...post here if you have one plz

Go here (http://folding.stanford.edu/cgi-bin/projectpage?q=181) to see how many are being turned in. When I posted this, so far, none have been turned in, so it's a VERY new protein. :)

I'm doing two of the P_180enghomeoGB right now they are long
about 1.5 hours per frame. Don't know how much it is worth thogh. Got to be pretty big points. I'm looking at 15 hours on my
Tbird @ 1570 and about 30 on the Duron 800.

Woah. I was freaking out until I remembered that they're only 10 frames. ;)
ps: Nice avatar, mrm1957. :)

Ah! All these massive proteins! Soon it will be nearly impossible to fold on my poor PII.:(

yeah many are reporting that these proteins are certainly right on when it comes to frame time/ points. this things are HUGE. there is a tad bit about these in this thread (http://forum.oc-forums.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=114959) as well.

NAS Right. The normal core we use right now is FAHcore_65 (Tinker). The core in development is FAHcore_78 (gromacs). The p180 series are just really big same old proteins. You shouldn't have to worry about the probs we're experiencing with core_78. They are new to EMIII though so keep an eye out there. :burn:

NAS Got two that just started running now. I'll have a time here soon as EMIII decides to start displaying them. It's lookin like about 1.45min/frame on the XP1800+@1650. The P4 has the other one. guess Ill go to bed and wait till morning to see that one:rolleyes: The p181 gets 8 points but only allows 15 days to finish. The p180 gets 5.6 points and 12 days. :burn:

i got the p180 that's worth 5.6 points at 10 frames. And on my Duron 1.2 ghz it just folded a frame in 1 hr 50 mins, so im looking at 18 hours and 20 mins for the entire WU. The p181 is probably gonna take alot longer
Gromacs proteins have been/will be stopped for a short while are there are some problems with core_78.
I just got a p180_enghomeoGB on my main rig (tbird@1480.) It is taking a little under 1:27/frame (10 frames) but I've only done 2 frames. btw, it is the TINKER core.

There are some concerns with a failsafe that stops and dumps a WU that has experienced two improper shutdowns for whatever reason. G is making modifications to help compensate peeps with marginal machine or unique stability problems. This is the area that I am familiar with as it concerns me. There is some good info at the Folding community site. I could post links here but I really think it important that we all develop the habit of utilizing that site as a part of maintaining our systems. :burn:
