first of all, thanks for reading, here is what happened:
i have a Soltek SL-75DRV5 (KT333CE) motherboard, which is running at 10.5x166 (which i believe this board have a 1/5 divider, but i can't find any utility can check that for me. sisoft sandra doesn't do the job) the hdd on the pc are Seagate cheetah 18 ultra2 wide scsi (3 of them) plus a pair of maxtor ata133 80gb.
during the past few days, i have hear some weird sound from the hdd, but didn't pay too much attention b/c all scsi are loud. and this morning, i found out the pc is locked up, when i reboot it, the scsi controller doesn't show one of the hdd anymore. it's pretty much dead, but would the high FSB killed it?
if this board have a 1/5 divider, which the pci bus speed will only be 33mhz, but if it doesn't, then it will be running at 41.5mhz (i don't think any scsi is capable running at this high bus speed)
what do you guys think?
if anyone know where i can find a good utility for showing correct pci bus speed, please let me know.
thanks
