I have a swiftech MC462A HSF. I have done many searches and I canot find anything about lapping it.

On the bottom, there are no visible defects but it is competely dull (no reflection of any kind).

Has anyone tried lapping this or any similar HSF? And what temps did you get afterwards?

i wouldn't lap a swiftech. the finish put on that heatsink should be all your ever need. if there are no swirl marks or machining marks you are set. a mirror finish doesn't really do much for your temps. all that matters is that you have a perfectly flat surface. which is one of the things swiftech is known for. so put the sandpaper away slap the heatsink back on your cpu and enjoy :D
