I have one of those aluminum cases with a side window + 80mm (side intake)fan. I want to counter that 80 with another 80mm (exhaust)in the upper rear. The case came with another generic 80mm fan in the front for intake, and I want to replace that with a 92mm enermax and counter it with a 92mm blow hole.
The problem is getting air to the fan without chopping the new case. Has anyone ever tried holes on the side of the face plate? If so...How effective were they?
Can anyone help?

I would imagine that small hole in the side of the front bezel would help a little. To truely get the full affect of a 92mm front fan, a front blowhole would be best. It is very easy to do and you could add a cool fangrill.

I was hoping to avoid that, but since I am already cutting a hole up top I suppose one in the front cant be any harder. Oh wait a minute.... The power button and reset switch occupy that space hmmm...Theres gotta be someway to put some ducts on the side to get air to that fan.
I dunno... I'll keep tossing ideas out there until I or the forum come up with something.
On the bottom of the front bezel, you can cut away a lot of material to get some air flow, and if you even a little artistic, you can lay out a pattern on the sides of the front or the front itself and drill holes of various sizes to increase airflow.

It has an open bottom for air. As for the holes, I was hoping to find some sort of plastic duct that could be fitted on the side before I result to drillin.

cool...
I was hoping i could find some sort of pre-molded plastic duct I can hook up to the side (maybe from a car or something, you know the kind of ducts you see on the front door to defrost the side windows...) Just determined to try and make that work
If I cannot find something maybe I will drill holes, who knows????

yeah, but i'm ghetto modder so i prefer drilling holes to messing with ducting
