Just built a heatsink, initial tests are awesome

I had a 120 blowing on it
via hardware monitor showed ~32 at idle and ~41 running CPU stability test for an hour 1.75v Duron650 @1000. With on board sensor so don't quote me.

I thought about trying something like that since I have access to 1/4" copper plate and large (2/0 STR) copper wire.

Your next to last pic implies water cooling. Is that mop of copper inside the block?

Seeing the discoloration, did you Silver Solder the conductors or use common Pb/Sn or Ag/Sn solder?

Just PB/Sn ROSIN so it would stick.
No the waterblock is just one I made
should have seen the original waterblock it was made out of a metal called Ampco90. I believe it is a berilium copper mix. I took it in to be machined and the guy says. Oh yea that's Ampco brass should only take about an hour=$65 dollars. Calls me up and says it took him all day (this stuf is real gummy) But he was only going to charge me $250. GFY. you would think he would have called and said hey this stuff is tough to cut.

What solution would clean it up?

a good hole saw 1'1/4" and a drill press
a chop saw
with proper size copper plate I could make about a dozen at a time
belt sander for lapping
then some hand work
about 1 hour
