As of this edit (9-10 11:20am MDT), and if the team race files are correct, the standings are:
Team Norsemen: 7415
Team Landshark: 7305
Team TC: 6839
Team Horsemen: 4715
Good job Team Norsemen! You guys are doing a great job keeping up production and haven't let up bit. We had a little surprise gift to the farm yesterday, but please don't let down, we may lose it before the race is over.

Woohoo...go team! Gonna try to get my Athlon going again this weekend. In the mean time, I've put my laptop to crunching again.

By the way, my cable modem is down so I am caching my WUs I only upload about every other day or so via modem ick!!! I got some cached up on my laptop and my Dell right now.

I love the team races.
Gives me a great reason (excuse) to build up the farm a bit.
I have a Pc-Chips MB on the way (same as the ECS K7S5A).
Working on the start of a 2nd new system too.
Glad these arent monthly races, I would be constantly broke. :D
Allright! Way to go guys! Great news Wookie and thanks for the heads-up Katelin. TC's guys are pulling away and I'm tapped out for resources. If we didn't have those 3 servers I wasn't anticipating, we would have been way back in the hunt. Let's just keep pushing to do the best we possibly can.
Wookie, I've got an ECS K7S5A in my home farm. It's a good board for the money, especially back when I bought it. It's not really a stellar performer, though you may have better luck with an OC than I was able to get with tweaked BIOS. You will definitely want to run it with DDR.
Hopefully, Vodka314 will have something to contribute this weekend. Historically, his numbers take on a 'weekend warrior' type of pattern.
I would hardly call a 7 wu lead pulling away.
It's relative to time. The lead was over 30 when I made the post this morning. Right now, we're up by 2. When you dump at midnight, that will certainly change.

You might be ahead by more than that I lost two crunchers and of course the best two for most of the day, power outage. Power came back on and I wasn't here.

You guys just had your butts kicked....that was a days worth of seti with the new system....but the new tech guy is smarter then the rest....shakes fist....darn him. We had to kill all the labs. Would have been sweet full time production.

As for stats, I update the totals at the top of this thread as often as I can. Just check the time and date stamp of the edit and that's the time I calculated the totals using the sooper dooper team race file that Gary took the time to provide for us.

Check your time offset in your user cp. It's working fine for me except that the forums server clock appears to be about 12 minutes slow.
Edit: time is now spot-on.

Greg, it's been fixed. They replaced the dead modem. I've just uploaded a some WUs.
Concerning other folks posting in this thread, I think it's all in the name of fun. They're just jealous that we have a rally thread going ;)

I tried getting a little more out my 1.4 Thunderbird this morning. That was a no go. I replaced the heatsink and jockeyed some fans around so I did drop the load temp by 5C (51C-46C)and reduced the noise in my home office significantly, but couldn't get any more out of the FSB or multiplier.
Katelin, were you able to get your Athlon back up again?
We're closing in on the Horsemen, but we also can't seem to be able to pull away from TC's gang. So we just keep on crunchin' and we'll see what happens.

Yep, I got a new Sparkle 300 watt power supply. It's up and running. However, my wireless home LAN isn't working. Well, sort of is, but I still couldn't get the wireless encryption to work, so right now only my Dell PC is connected. But I upload daily from my other PCs though, it's better then dialup at least.
About the race, the teams are evenly matched from the start isn't it? So I don't expect us to pull away from any teams, unless someone(s) do a major upgrade. It's gonna be a close race. We'll just have to keep fending them off. Team TC seem to pull ahead of us at night, then we gain the lead back during the day.

Thats becuase of how TC has his SETI queue set up. It starts the dump at midnight for a few hours.

I bought a 300W Sparkle and it's one of the worst power supplies I own. I hope you have better luck. I've got 2 cheap Enlight power supplies, that came with cases, that are currently the 2 best PSU's in my arsenal with the highest 5V rails.
TC's midnight queue uploads aren't what has been tweaking the numbers. This morning, we had a pretty good gap which dissappeared as the day continued, contrary to the midnight upload pattern.
Way to go Katelin! You're crankin'! You'll be putting out Wookie numbers if you're not careful.:D

Katelin, if you would like some help getting WEP setup, let me know. I just set it up on my home network, so it's fresh in my mind. I wanted to use 128-bit, but my PCMCIA card for the laptop will only do 64-bit.

What's wrong with Sparkle. I've read reviews about it and supposedly it's one of the best brands out there? Did yours died? You got me worried now.

Katelin, I read the same things, but my Sparkle has the lowest 5V rail voltages compared to my other power supplies. It's still running, but it's holding back overclocking attempts. I may have just received a bad one, but you may also want to keep an eye on your rail voltages if you're having stability problems.
By the looks of the wad of WU's you uploaded yesterday, it appears you aren't having any problems.;)

this is a update from GregM 'bout our in-team team race that is going at the moment. www.ocsetiteam.com/weekly/team_races.htm
basically, we have a bunch of members entered, then we (try our best) to divide them into small team according their ave. output (to make it even/fair/more interest). then we'll pre-set a goal, like this around is 7500WU. when we pass that goal that week, whoever has the most WU win.
btw, it's gonna be a short race this time as each team's output is very big! around 300+WU/day!! it's gonna be done w/in the next 2 weeks. so, keep ur eye in here when we anounce the next team race and u can just join in. ;)
It's an excuse to spend way too much money building computers that will do nothing but crunch SETI work units.;)
Better watch out, Wookie. Katelin has got the 'girl power' cranked up a notch. She's catching up to you in the race stats.

I'm giving all I've got, I can't do much more. If we lose this Xeon server, they're might just pull ahead. Oh well..we'll just have to keep fighting.

We're just fortunate that we won't have to give up all 3 servers that showed up as the races began. Granted they're only a dual PIII-S 1.4 and a dual Xeon DP 2.2. Maybe I'll be lucky enough to buy another home system before the race is over, but I doubt it.

I will, that's only a day's worth, I haven't been saving them long I just didn't get a chance to do my daily morning upload this morning. We still need about 52, hopefully someone else here has a few to send up when they get home too.
I feel like a moron. We could have ended it sooner if I changed my SETIQueue to upload the WU's as they were completed. I changed my queue server to upload at midnight to counter some of the 'bounce' that happened with the numbers when TC would upload his queue. Oh well. They all count for the team.
