i have never overclocked before
i have just built Tbird 1000 with epox ep-8kta2 MB
with KT133
stock heat sink cpu temp 48 C
i know i need a new case, but for now i have about 1 maybe 1 1/2 inches between heatsink fan a power supply
can anyone suggest heatsink to lower temp before i overclock

i like the Alpha Pep 66 w/delta fan myself.... the 7 other fans drown out the delta ... but any of the others will do a fine job 1.33@1.55 35c ... just my preference tho....

What type of 'sink have you got at the moment? If as you say only got 1 1/2" clearance between your PSU & sink, some of these more chunky heat sinks might not fit.

BTW, Another brand to throw into the barrel of Mokeys: Taisol.

in this case, do what i did, mount the psu on top of the case and ducttape it down to the case. Airflow was better, more room, its great. Or buy a new case for $40.
