Finally worked up the courage to use my highspeedpc unlocking kit on my AROIA-Y 1600+. I messed up twice halfway through on account of my crack baby shaking hands but then I just taped off the bridge I was working on as I went along and that seemed to work well. Though that method is time consuming. At least it worked the first time I put it in, I was very surprised. :D So now I have my cpu running at 138x12.5. Unlocking was very beneficial to me because my harddrive video card or motherboard seems to be holding back my FSB badly. 138 is pretty much my max.
I also replaced my Global Win CAK w/ Delta 38 screamer with a Thermalright SLK-800 and variable speed clear + blue LED fan. Max cfms dialed all the way up is I think 52 cfms. Now temps are at 41 full load, thats a few degrees under the temps I was getting while non-overclocked with the CAK. This is at default voltage.
This should prevent me from going insane while I wait to buy a new motherboard and stuff. (waiting on nforce2 probably). Though I am sure this chip will go higher, I just ran out of multipliers!!! :D Heres a screenie.

you could always make it a 2100+ then your default multi would be 13x and you would have acess to the higher multimliers if your mobo supports them.

I havent done it but you have to modify some bridges I cant actually remember which ones right now. ITs like the l3-l4 bridges or something but you will have to cut some bridges and connect others its really a painful operation. The best way is to look at axp2100+ and compare it to your chip then you can change the bridges 100% correctly.

cutting bridges, not worth the effort or risk in this case. all that is holding me back is that i cant get a good fsb, the solution is simple, spend some money! so until nforce2 comes around and i have more money, i guess i am happy enough with just unlocking and cranking it to where it is now.
