For my Pentium 4 i got a Coolermaster Fujiama Heatpipe Fan, Any way i soon came to realize it was a ****ty Fan! had problems cooling my CPU at Stock Speed! Any way i used for some times and during that time i got my XP2000+ but the fan was delayed so i went down and got a cheap Fan+Heatsink for 8€ and stuffed it on my XP for the night! worked fine i could even OC with it!
The Next day i got my Coolermaster #1 Ocing FAn For my XP2000+ which is a good and loud fan:D.
Then i started using the cheap fan on my Duron but soon stoped cos i had to use the HDD in my XP2000+.
So 2day i was thinking hmmm the fan on this Cheap fan looks just as big as the one on my Pentium?!? So faster then u could count to 10sec i had taking the fan off my Pentium Heatpipe and replaced it! even thou the height size was different;) Any way i booted up and hey predo my CPU feel from 50 to 43c!! amazing!

So right now im wondering y i ever got a Heatpipe for 65€ wen i could have gotten a cheaper one that worked better!!

Those heatpipes recieved fairly good reviews, it's possible you got a cracked one or something with no coolant in it, you could try returning it.

They are probably sensitive to orientation though, can't remember which way up that model should be, but if you have it the wrong way up it's not going to work very well.
