Golden Orbs arn't very good coolers... But they'll work for your PIII ONLY if you have a SECC2 Cartridge for your processor, wich is unlikely because intel produced very few PIII SECC2 450MHz...

Intel made 2 versions of the pIII 450. the (Box SL3CC - OEM SL364 kB0) and the (Box SL37C - OEM SL35D kC0 )
BOTH of which were SECC2.

StogieThe machining quality varies from Orb to Orb. Some are slightly concaved or convexed on the bottom, some aren't. Just because yours works for you doesn't mean every Orb will work for everyone. Most often lapping will fix a defective Orb, so it is mandatory IMO to lap all Orbs to true them up. But once they are true, they are decent coolers. But I'll stick with Alpha's and water-cooling thank you very much :)
