I have two computers on a hub. One has the DSL hooked up to it. I have Win2k and i used the shared connection feature in order to share the DSL connection. Well this sort of works but most sites take forever, or just never load. What is the problem or a cheap alturnitive to sharing using microsoft.

www.analogx.com
Look in their networking section for something called "AnalogX's Proxy".. it's a small and really easy proxy.
Besides that, you can buy a router, and use that.
Take a look around the Internet, Networking & Security forum to get a sense of what other people have done.
Some use ICS (Shared connection), the the bulk of people use routers, or another proxy solution.
If you're still not sure, try posting in the Networking forum, or searching it.

also, depending on your ISP:
when I had DSL, i just plugged it straight into my hub's uplink port, and installed the PPPoe software on each machine, and they all got internet. (but I was allowed 5 IPs)
