just got all my parts from newegg for my friends system.

i plugged everything in... used an anti static wrist strap and made sure everything was making good contact.

well when i turn it on the lights on the mobo light up and the hs/f turns on and thats it. nothing else.

this board is a SL-75DR4 and it has a million and one jumpers. i have the multi at 12x and the fsb at 133 like its supposed to. i have the voltage jumper at default. i would like to try manually setting the voltage but i don't know what the xp1600 default voltage is.

any help?

if i were at home i'd have some parts to swap around to check the parts but i'm not. i guess i could take this one home and mess around with it later.

the speaker is plugged in... and i'm not getting any beeps at all. is this board supposed to beep? i don't see anything in the mobo manual about it.

i've got some thermal paste on the chip and a volcano 5 hs/f plugged into the main cpu fan header.

1600 as in speed or series? If it's a 1600+ it should be only at a multi of 10.5

Try that and get back to us ;)

I'm positive that will work ;-)

ok.. once i changed the multi it still didn't work. but once i manually set a voltage instead of leaving it on default it booted right up. i've got it set at 1.65v right now. what is the voltage supposed to be?
