Prices fall every once in awhile. It depends on who you are buying from, how much they have in stock, what the competition is selling them for, and if there is anything better being released. It is just a week to week thing that you have to pay attention and if you find a good price something that you want to pay go ahead and get it.

I'm looking for a repeat of the great memprice drop of early 02. Hope it happens soon cuz I really need some xms 3200c2. Well I realllllllly want some anyway. At $100+ for 256 I'll have to wait and hope. My crucial 2100 is ok but holding me back.

A while back it was possible to get 256mb sdram for $20. Now it is like $45!!!! I really hope prices drop, but memory is important and if you need it you need it.

I would like an answer to this as well. I haven't heard any news on the expected price of memory for the end of the year etc.

I think prices won't drop anytime soon. Before memory was in high demand and prices were pretty high. Then manufactors started making a lot of memory chips. With the mass flood of memory, computer manufactors couldn't use them all because of slow sells. Prices drop so everybody else would buy them. Now with the slow economy production is lower and prices rise. That's my take on it.

dual ddr... i dont think people are gonna want to have to purchase 2 sticks as well as at an inflated price. unless you are thinking of DDR-II?
