USB Header cable

just got back from the computer show, whilst there i got a USB header cable so i can plug the printer, mouse and gamem pad in all at once. I forgot to check wich one i would need so i was faced with the dilema of going with the 8-Pin or 10-Pin USb header. I went with the 8-Pin got home only to find out it was a 16-Pin i needed!!!!! anyway i can re-arrange the wires so that it will work?

I would assume that 8pin only has 8 of the 16 wires, so would be difficult to rewire.

well its just my luck as usual, a quick google search revealed that 8 and 10-Pin is common but 16-Pin is more rare.Looks like im going to have to buy a USb hub now since i cant find the right cable.
