how much is the clawhammer mobo/cpu/ram/ everyting going to cost?

I will need new everything except floppy, cdrom, case and psu.

Nicest mobo
nicest ram
nice low noise cpu fan


any ideaS? i am just trying to get a price so i know how much money i have to save upto buy this setup when it comes out (january?)

We really won't have any accurate prices until its near release, AMD won't tell us much, we can only guess.

Look at the prices we have now, and have look at the price of the 2600+ T-Bred when it comes out, use that as a very rough estimate.

no the claw hammer will have like 700 pins or something like that eirly stages will be .13 micron core and later will be .9 it will have 512k cache with 166 fsb (i think) and the boards will be totoally diff so do this im imagine a p4 northwood with like 900 pins on the bottom lol

and 1.6 ghz will be like a 3600+ no one knows how much thell be they wont be here till next year

well, so i would be able to upgrade just my cpu later.. like ina year or 2?

and a normal psu should work with them, right?

i know these sound like dumb questions.. but i have seen from the past that sometimes they change everything around..
or do you think i should wait for something else?

I think you are going to have to get a special PSU because I heard they use a LOT of power per CPU...:( which might mean high temps...knowing AMD you know there will be atleast semi-temps....

And the hammers should be out next year so I sure you will be able to upgrade within a year or so as of now...

Nice Kt 333 mobo like an ASUS A7V 333 , 256 mb of pc 2700 ram, and a t bred 2400+ or 2200+ the 2400+ wont be here till a week but itll be a cool proc to have. Other thingys u can decid to get or you could get a cheap 1600+ or 2000+ its up to u
