oops, sorry if I seem like spamming iwth thi smany threas, i just have alot of questions...

okay, now my rad problems. my rad is too big to fit in the case. And also I don't want to place it on op of the case cuz I have a window and it'll look ugly...

now, I thought of this, but it seems nobody has done this before (or so I've known of, so I'm a bit cautious)

I want to drill a hole in my right side panel (nothing there), and then mount some mounting brackets. the rad will be place on the monting brackets, and the barbs will face inwards, throught hte drilled holes and into the case. So it wouldn't look too bad in my opunion, all you can see are two barbs with tubes sticking out like so.....

would this work? a more specific question is how would the rad be ooled/ i was originally thinking of putting a fan on the right side of the rad 9where else would i put it ;)) and then make it suck, would that give enough airflow?

leave a little space between the rad and the case for the air to get to the other side of he rad

Yes, if you don't leave a little bit of space there, no air will flow through the rad; I like the idea though, that is very interesting! Please do show pics if you go through with it.

What are the dimensios of the case?

Wat are the dimensions of the radiator?

There may be another way to mount it, without having it hang off the side of the case.

Is there room to mount it on the top of the case, on the inside. Stick it between the PSU and take up one of the 5" bays. Cut a blow hole and you are ready to go. Putting stuff outside your case is lame and makes it more prone to damage.

Won't fit there phishy...

guys, it's okay as long as I have a lil room between the side panel and the rad on the left side righ? I'll prolly have a 120 mm, and two 80 mms sucking on the right side. That means nothing will be blowing, and that's fine right? I've heard that people suck and blowon their rads, but I'm not sure if it's necessary

that is a big rad, what is the problem with putting it at the front of the case - does it touch the hard disk cage?

if so, remove it and put you hard disks in a 5 1/4 bay with a adaptor - you will be able to cool them better as well

trust me! it won't fit. You guys have no trust in my ability to estimate? I've tried the top of the case under the roof of the case, I've tried under my HD bays. I've thought about taking out my HD bays...no fit

it should be fine with just 1 fan

I doubt that you even need to use the bracket for support. My rad is hanging by its two barbs with no ill effect... the only other "support" are two zip tie braces that are holding the bottom in place so that there's no moments created in the barbs.

why dont you mount it in the top drive bay? cut a big hole in the top for the rad and put your fan and shroud on it?

okay, I'll just explain it to you guys this simple:

There are only two ways I can put this rad in my case:

1. Rip out 3 of my PCI cards and then I'll haev room in the bottom. Oh yeah, rip out that UV light I installed in the bottom

2. Rip out my all my bays. which would make me need to put my CD-OM and HD and floppy drive on the ground next to my case

This is my set up

As you see the Rad is on the back of the case
But im trying to get it on the inside or get a smaller one and put that on the inside
I think some where at the top would be best

hey mount the rad like you sa but cut out a square hole about 1 inch smaller tha the rad (1/2 inch on all sides) then go and duct a 120 on the right side of the rad make it pull make sure you have intake on the case though so that the fan on the rad isnt working obscurely hard. this should give you the airflow you need. and it will look coool as hell. goo dluck with whatever.

Borgy, the only problem i see with your setup is how are you going to get an AGP card in there?

Why do you need the gap between the rad and the side panel?

Frodo why don't you just take a pic of your case so ppl can see just how much space you don't have in there?
