My Water Cooling Idle temp is 35*C which seems high to me, anyone have any ideas on how to lower this? I have a 85' Accord Radiator with 2x 80mm fans on it, a maxijet 1200 pump, and a Maze2 waterblock. I run a AMD 1700+ Cpu

How do you have the 80mm fans setup on the radiator? One pulling air, one pushing? or both on the same side? I'm unfamiliar with the radiator, so I can't really comment on it. Do you have anything that could be restricting your flow? Have you gotten a load temp with the system yet (and what are you using to measure your temps?)

Forgot to mention- what is the ambient temp of your room?

2 80mm fans stand right out as your problem. How many cfm are the pushing? Is there some sort of shroud? Time to slap some 120mm fans on there.

Both of the fans are push, with a homemade shroud that both of them are on. The flow seems to be fine, and there is no air in it either. what range should my temps be in at idle?

I'm with Fishy on the 120mm fans... and also, what is your ambient temp because that is a huge factor.

lol, misread what you typed.

Also what MOBO are you using? Some read the on die sensor of the CPU which reports accurately but higher. If it is a new EPOX or a new ASUS, you are most likely reading on die. As far as ambient, what is the temp of the ROOM the computer is in? What is the MOBO temp?

Im in a basement so the air is cold, it is 71*F converted into about 22*C. And I have a Soyo K7V Dragon Plus that is at 27*C.

In that case I would say your temps seem a bit high. Is your chip running at default (1.75) voltage?

yup! I'm guessing I should just get 120mm fans because the ones I got on there now are only about 30cfm.
