i dont know if this has been asked before.. so here it goes.
i have a buttload (lots) of mpg files (not p0rn) that i want to convert to avi (divx) i tried once and the audo wasent converted.
can anyone help me out?

Hey man I had the same problem before till I found something that worked great heres the link its called video edit magic

its a 30 day trial unless you buy it, but make sure you have or download divx 5.0 codec install when you open video edit magic just open your file then add to timeline then do your editing then save timeline name your file then click advanced choose divx codec 5.0 for the video compressor then choose mp3 for the audio then click save. I have found that the file gets compressed the best if you do nothing else with your machine like taking up cpu space but it should work great if you have trouble just ask.

superman, i cant open any of my mpg files it says it cant render the sound or something
any ideas?

i tried virtualdub and i got it. but te program wont load some of my mpg's, say's there is a unexpected end of file?
anyone know how to fix mpg's?

When you selected the video source did you also select an audio source?
Or try out TMPGEnc (http://www.tmpgenc.net/) which allows you to select output file type and even encode it. :D
