I hear that the slk-800 is better than the ax-7 but is there a P4 version? and also, what is the best heatsink (not counting fan im gonna ad my own) for a P4 sock 478? Actauly give me the top 3 or 5 in order please. and preferably thety can have 80mm fan's becasue the fan im gonna use is 80mm and ii dun wannah ave an ugly lookin adapter.

as far as im aware, there is no socket 478 version of the slk-800

according to the die simulator, the ax-7 came out on top, but in the actual motherboard tests, the results were different, you can check out the whole list here. (http://www.overclockers.com/articles373/)

The SLK478 will be release very soon, September (according to the techies @ thermalright about 2 weeks ago)

And I can put my own 80mm fan on the slk as well? as just a hs which of the two (ax478, slk478) would produce better results?

Not have seen either in the flesh, but having read a bit, it would seem logical that the SLK would be slightly better than the AX. That's the one I'm waiting for anyway, and like you....... I'll be adding my own choice of fan.

I plan on using an 80mm Nidec, moves tons of air but is only slightly louder than my silent 80mm Panaflows, which move slightly less air. :) How much more expensive will the SLK be?

where can i find the Nidec fan?? i like my Panaflow b/c of the quietness. but looking for something faster for my P4 rig.
