I have been running so far with only air cooling. My current setup has 13 fans all together, and if I have visitors we have to shout to be heard over the fans. My temps are great, but the noice is slowly driving me carzy! (just look at my spelling) So I need some advice.
Have any og you had some experience with Koolance and their water cooling setups? I'm thinking of getting the
KOOLANCE PC2-901 (http://koolance.com/products/ccs-a05/)
Is this setup any good? I will allso then be buying their "cooling blocks" for my CPU, GPU and NB. Any suggestions are welcome!
DONT DO IT! their steups use 1/4" tubing and nobody else does and you will never be able to upgrade parts of your setup. custom pick your stuff from places like www.dangerden.com and www.dtekcustoms.com

But I see a lot of places where they sell special coblings, that enable me to use hardware from others, like swiftech. Can't I just use these?

I don't think I understand. Do you mean I can buy the Koolance PC2-901 and run with blocks from someone else, or that I should buy the entire setup from someone else? I don't know if I dare setting up my own water setup. Thats why I thought it would be nice with one thats allready done. But if it sucks, I'll go for something else. What do you ppl suggest?

Koolance are nice for a plain computer, but power hungry people like us need more power. Also the barbs of a Koolance are plastic and might break and thats not a good thing. I know when Maximum PC did a review on them they computer they got had a broke barb, but Koolance did replace it. What if that would've happen will the mobo was in and turned on.

Point taken... :)
What about this setup:
Eheim 1048 pump
Watertank for Eheim 1046/1048 1,6dl.
Swiftech "dual" radiator. (for 2 x 120mm. fans)
Swiftech CPU cooler MCW462U - SocketA/P4
+ 2 Swiftech chipset coolers for GPU and NB.

That looks like a MUCH better setup than Koolance, especially if you plan on overclocking at all.

I personally wouldn't bother with the northbridge block... just a pointless flow restriction in my opinion.

yea, a small NB hsf would do you just fine if you feel you need to cool it more than ambiant air-flow will (this is usually enough)
Agreed. Putting an IU Cooler on a northy is overkill. What you can do now is take off the northbridge cooler, lap it and then apply Arctic Alumina and that will hold off. It's not worth it to spend 30.00 on a chipset block when it's already working with a dab of paste and a badly lapped heatsink.

From what I have read here and in other forums Swiftech kits are nice. Just go with the normal CPU block and a GPU forget about the one for the northbridge and just lap it and add some Arctic Alumina to it. For better results tho I would get higher c.f.m. fans then the one that comes with the Swiftech set-up.
