Nvidia has the new beta 40.01 drivers they support dx 8.1 Agpx 8

and they say it makes the card 25% faster i just downloaded the drivers and got a 900 POINT BOOST ON 3D MARK.

I just have to laugh at the Ati 9700 now $450 i think the ti 4600 is getting better and better

wow, nice it helped my 3dmark scores too by 100 points. Thats a hell of alot of points for a 3k mark. I didnt test my TI4200 i'll do that later.

next time put this in the video stuff in the video section;)

I think what Oni means is that this should be in the Video and Sound Card forum not in AMD CPU.

Thanks for the info anyway.

Another nVidia "Surprise" The old "come out with performance-enhancing drivers" trick. They're called "Detonator 40" drivers, they're beta, and they're only for Win 2K/XP. You can get them here. That's nice, but hardly a field leveler.

Even more underwhelming, revised GF4 Ti cards supporting AGP 8X should be out shortly.

Looks like smoke-and-mirrors to me.

With that answer, if I were a mod I would simply delete the thread. Do you honestly think it's ok to make work for other people just because you happen to want to? And the "everyone else does" was lame even back in the 6th grade when you should have stopped using it.

Well, I can see that he normally comes to the amd forum, and not anything else, and just decided to tell us. This is his first offense, and meant no harm by it. But, I can see it should not be in this forum, becuase the rules state that.

The card can be had for $320.Maybe its just me but thats really cheap that they held back the performance on 4600 and then released "new" drivers with a huge performance boost.
