Hi all
I`ve just up-graded to a Pentim 4 (P4B533-V Mobo) using a 2.26B cpu & a Cooler Master Silent Heat Pipe IHC-L71 (runs about 6C cooler than the Intel H/Sink fan combo) I am using my Crucial PC2100 DDR (2x256) & the system is not overclocked the 2.26B runs @ 1.5 V & has a large area for Artic Silver to be applied compared to the AMD 1600+ I had.
The H/Sink fan is running @ 2500 RPM with an air flow of 20.5 CFM. The unit is connected to the Q fan header on the Mobo (adjusts fan speeds) My idle is 37C & Load 43C. The ambient temp. 25C (room) Mobo 26C. I have an Antec case (350 psu) 2 fans @ front / 2 @ rear. These 4 fans I will be changing to 80mm quiet fans but even so my system is quiet now this is just going to run it @ a whisper.
Mad Onion 2001 = 10,744 that beats some AMD 2200+ systems using PC2700 DDR ( I`m not getting at any AMD enthusiasts as I was one my self but I`ve had it with Via & Latency issues etc.)
Hope this helps you ppl out there who like me can`t stand the noise of those hair dryer fans.
