Ok, here's the problem. I bought an Athlon XP1800+ for my K7T Turbo m/b. I also purchased a new, 300 watt AMD approved power supply and upgraded the bios in the m/b. The system will not boot with the cpu!! I've had the cpu and power supply checked, and the m/b works fine with my Duron. Any ideas as to what's going on? I'm having the exact same problem with my KT3 Ultra board, too!

Having used a K7T for 18 months and the KT3 for 2 months I would bet that your problem is power supply. The K7T demands a lot of power and add to the fact that the XP can demand 40amps off the 5V and 3.3V you are looking at needing to supply 200W. The best 300W is going give you only 140W. Even a 350W can be too light. I have a 350W but it does deliver 200W.
