I got the Radeon 7000, and I'm set to mod and tweak sometime this next coming week. I'm using the Rage3D tweak prog, and I am putting on a Crystal Orb and some RamSinks, and also gunna run like 3DMark2001 SE a bunch of times, to make sure its really really stable and cool... Now, I am wondering, a few things...

1. What are some suggestions for good tweaking and o/cing... as in like moving both the sliders equally up 5mhz or... what? Some hints, tips, etc.

2. Adjusting the two sliders (sorry, i forgot specific names), will this at all cause any problems to the PCI slot (as in incorrect voltage or faster running speed on the mobo) that could cause problems in my mobo or other hardware? I am wondering, because I dun wanna set the speed at something, and then it runs faster in the PCI port that its in and then causes the mobo to **** up...

3. Any other hints, tips, or things I should "watch out for" when I tweak my Radeon 7000 using that Rage3D tweak prog. Thanks!! :D :)

I also have the radeon 7000. (64mg agp) You can overclock the core and the memory timings seprate from each other. However since they came syncronious (spelling?) I leave them this way when I overclock. Up the timings in 5mhz increments at a time. Then run 3dmark through at least two loops. This will give the card time to heat up and produce any artifacts if it is going too. Keep doing this until you reach a speed where you see hot spots or dropped textures. (like a snowy tv picture or white where a texture should be.) Once you see these artifacts back the card off 10mhz and that should keep you in the safe zone through long hours of gameplay. Also I do not believe that upping the timing of either the core or the memory has any corralation to pci timings. If you upped your fsb than your pci settings would be upped as well. Take it slowly and you should be safe. Also until you are more comfortable with rage 3d tweak stay out of the advanced option tab. Have fun and keep us up to date on that overclock! :)
